Based on the Risk Assessment carried out by HRMC, an Anti-Piracy Vessel Protection Team may be deployed to support the client.
In this event counter measures are employed to substantially reduce the perceived risk to the vessel, its cargo and crew. These operations are complex and incorporate both traditional, non-lethal, anti-piracy tactics which may be supplemented with an armed response, both of which are designed to deter an attack and discourage the boarding of the vessel and its consequent results.
HRMC works closely with the relevant law enforcement agencies, coast guard and naval authorities in order to enhance the effectiveness of our own anti-piracy tactics.
Escorts are conducted professionally and legitimately and at all times with regard to the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) directives, the regulations of the concerned Flag State and, if appropriate, the Littoral State and any other such legal entities. |
